Sir, what happened to the Kochis most proudable Smart City Project? How do you people look into this?

The Smart City Project was exposed by former Chief Minister Umman Chandy at First.  I think, now this project has a suspicious image. I think something mysteriously happened in the project. We dont know anything about the Smart Citys Smartness, the actual reason behind. This project will be taken over only after some clear-cut, open discussions about the actual problems and how to overcome such difficulties? Its sure that we all interested to continue and follow the project. I think this project will brings a positive turn over to our city as well as our state itself. You know that people from almost every section of life, from Real Estate brokers, big builders to Auto rickshaw drivers, are eagerly waiting for this with great anxiety.  If this project is not launched; the state Kerala will get the image that the place is not friendly for the big investments. Personally I am not interested to hear such negative statements. Being a people representative I assure you that I will took a massive effort to launch this project again.

Now, In Central Ministry, Six ministers are from Kerala. You are one among them. According to you, you represent Kochi in Center. Can we expect activities for the further development of the City from your side?

Still here, the Central and State Governments are different in Politics, we will join together for the Development mainly with the topic,   Kochi Development activities.  Mr. Antony told earlier that the most of our state progressive activities are begun, after his arrival in the Central Ministry. Now, after our electoral to the center, we had already completed discussions like Kuttanad Package, Idukki Package etc. These all are showing a positive outlook; that is, all our activities are focused on one stream and that is  Our Development. Anybody can own the credit as he or she like if these projects meet success.  I am not caring such silly things. My intensive is only one thing and that is our Metro City progress.
 

What is the present status of ‘ Vallarpadam Terminal Project ‘?

We have already discussed this project with the officials and it was a positive discussion.  Now, I can give a solid assurance that this project will launch soon. As I told you earlier, after the completion of this project there will be some sudden developments in the State. We mainly focus Kochi City.
